EURODUR® 5500

Hardness of up to 67 HRC+/-3

EURODUR® 5500 consists of very hard chromium and titanium carbides

as well as extra-hard borides. This composition ensures very good

wear protection in a wide range of applications.

At normal temperature (20°C) EURODUR® 5500 reaches a hardness

of up to 67 HRC +/- 2. Operating temperature up to 500°C. Hardness

measurement with test piece DIN 32525-4.

Application

Used where ultra-high resistance against abrasive wear and high temperatures,

together with moderate pressure- and shock-wear resistance, is needed.

Fans, separators, linings for mills in the coal and cement industry, cyclones,

mixer walls, excavator shovels, wear strips for waste disposal,

chutes, screw conveyors, agitator arms, mixer blades, etc.
