EURODUR® 1680 N
Flux cored wire

Hardness of upto 63 HRC+/-3
EURODUR® 1680 N is a self-shielding flux-cored wire for highly wear-resistant,
low-nickel build-up welding. Due to the high proportion of chromium, silicon
and boron in combination with a maximum nickel content of 0.04 %, this special
alloy offers maximum protection against unwanted nickel-sulphide inclusions
during glass production.
At normal temperature (20°C) EURODUR® 1680 N reaches a hardness
of up to 63 HRC +/- 3 and can be used at operating temperatures up to 500°C.
Hardness measurement with test piece DIN 32525-4.
The weld metal is corrosion-resistant and suitable for extremely abrasive wear
caused by mineral materials.
Application
Used where extreme resistance against abrasive wear from minerals is required,
particularly in environments with low-nickel requirements (e.g. glass production).
Conveyor systems, mixer linings, crushers, mixer blades, scrapers, etc.
